This is the 11th Cotswold Canals Trust - Saul Canal Festival held every year on the first weekend in July.
(Sadly, the freak flooding in Gloucestershire in summer 2007 meant that the event was cancelled four days before opening.)
2008 Will Be Great!
The event, the largest of its kind in the West Country, is held at a unique waterside venue. Saul Junction, the midway point of the Gloucester-Sharpness Canal at its junction with the soon to be restored Stroudwater Navigation.
The site is just 1½ miles from Junction 13 on the M5 in Gloucestershire.
(Postcode GL2 7LA)

For the first time in 2006 we created Riverside Green, a new trading area next to the Drum & Monkey Alehouse and Food Street.
Riverside Green will operate again providing a 'night street market atmosphere' dedicated to craft & arts traders.
Lessons learned from 2006 regarding access times and pitch plotting will be applied. The main Tradeshow areas Lockside Trading and Heritage Way Trading are located on a hard metalled surface car park.
Lockside Trading provides prime trading space for marine, leisure and outdoor pursuit goods traders. It also accommodates a framed Pavilion known as the Sapperton Pavilion.
Floating Trade, i.e. Trade and exhibition boats, are moored along Heritage Way trading. |

Other Benefits
We offer early payment concessions on pitch fees. We also offer a free website link. Traders and Exhibitors also qualify for a free Traders Camping pitch. You must complete a Traders Campsite application form.
The Drum & Monkey and Food Street wil l remain open throughout. Traders will now be able to obtain refreshment and relaxation at the close of daytime trading.
Please note: The Traders camp site and vehicle parking compound is immediately adjacent to the Trade Show. Your trading pitch cannot include a vehicle unless it is an integral part of the trade stand. Pitch fees are calculated accordingly.
We seek quality not quantity. We invite only a balanced selection of the best of the marine industry, craft producers and event caterers.
Saul traders invariably comment on the welcoming atmosphere and organisational support on site. It is our intention to maintain and develop this aspect.
We deal with applications on a first come, first served basis. However, submission of an application does not guarantee participation.
The unique nature of the Saul Canal Festival site, allied to the fact that it is now firmly established in the Waterways and Folk Music calendars, dictates that trading space is at a premium.
So, do not delay.
